ParaView is an open-source multiple-platform application for interactive, scientific visualization. It has a [[id:70899526-8b7d-4976-94fc-cc07c41e550a][client]]–[[id:f2b1d5af-1a7d-47a5-95c8-4a85d558419e][server]] architecture to facilitate remote visualization of datasets, and generates level of detail (LOD) models to maintain interactive frame rates for large datasets. It is an application built on top of the Visualization Toolkit (VTK) libraries. ParaView is an application designed for data parallelism on shared-memory or distributed-memory multicomputers and [[id:408e8348-778a-4fbd-a14d-9f3d9c595b4a][cluster]] . It can also be run as a single-computer application.
